Cruising Around the World

Cruising Around the World

Destination cruises are good and all, you do after all each get to check out a little corner of the world. You could go to Europe and see some of the quaint ports there on a short cruise, or maybe take a river cruise to St Petersburg or even Paris. Or you could go to Australia and see that little part of the world.

There are of course some good reasons to go on this sort of a cruise, for example these sort of cruises are generally quite cheap. For a family, couple, or solo traveller, you'll find that these trips often suit a lower budget since they do not go on for many months. For families they are also quite short, and they will fit well into school holidays and not prevent children from missing any school which of course is often illegal if the kids are meant to be there. World Cruises however, are a different beast entirely and you'll find that they offer just so much more than destination cruises.

This is after all no real point in spending thousands of dollars to fly to Australia for a short cruise there when you could instead if your job and family commitments allow it spend the money you spent on the flight on going on a longer cruise. World Cruises are exactly what cruising was built to be. World Cruises are about seeing the whole world in a few months. World Cruises will often be able to comfortably take in five continents.

You could start in Europe, go down to the Mediterranean, head through the Suez Canal, checking out both Asia and Africa, and then head down via South Africa to the Americas. These sort of cruises allow you to really get to know the people on board, and become completely refreshed, unlike the two week cruises where you never actually really get settled and will find that you wish that the cruise would last for a little longer. Of course, two weeks cruises are OK, but World Cruises are the true cruise experience. They aren't good for first-timers but for someone who wants to take a once in a lifetime adventure, they are perfect. You will see dozens and perhaps up to 50 destinations and ports in your time. You'll be able to do all of that without even having to go on a plane even once.
