The formerly quaint fishing village of Cabo San Lucas, once known largely for its big-game fishing, now attracts hordes of university students looking for wild and boisterous nightlife, swank golfers who come to swing their clubs on championship courses, and cruise ship tourists who arrive in droves to shop and stroll along the picture-perfect beaches. Outdoor aficionados and water sport seekers to this Mexican hotspot will not be disappointed by its growing list of adventure activities--from surfing to snorkeling and much more. Despite having plenty to see and do, Cabo San Lucas is still a place where you can sit under a shady palm and watch pelicans swoop down into the crystalline waters or linger over a glass of wine at sunset as the day fades away on the horizon. Its laid-back atmosphere is great for soaking up the sun and relaxing, and you'll find plenty of places to satiate your thirst and hunger. Don't miss a trip to Lover's Beach or an afternoon at the marina, where you can while away the time with a salt-rimmed margarita.
